VOIS Presents:”Local Dollars, Local Sense” Building a New Economy in Oregon
Join VOIS and its partners at a special event on June 18th in honor of National Small Business Week. We will be discussing the real local choices and strategies that can ignite a truly sustainable, living, local economy. This community event will feature a keynote address and Q&A session with Michael Shuman.
Mr. Shuman is one of the world’s leading experts on community economics, a co-founder of the Business Alliance for Living Local Economies and a fellow at the Post Carbon Institute. His book “The Small-Mart Revolution” provided a blueprint for local actions that counter the economic drain of entities like WalMart. His most recent book is “Local Dollars, Local Sense: How to Move Your Money from Wall Street to Main Street and Achieve Real Prosperity”
