Sattie Clark has served as the President of the Board of Directors since the organization was founded in mid 2009. Sattie is co-founder/co-owner of Eleek, Inc., an award-winning design and manufacturing business that Bloomberg Business Week calls “one of the most promising social entrepreneurs in America.” Eleek makes low-energy lighting and other decorative building products from recycled and locally sourced materials. Passionate about the intersection of policy and sustainable business, Sattie co-founded Voice for Oregon Innovation & Sustainability, a non-profit business alliance that supports sustainable, forward-thinking business leaders through policy advocacy, education, leadership cultivation, civic interaction and community building, as it strives to create a prosperous economic future for the region. In 2011, Sattie became one of the founding advisors to Multnomah County’s new Advisory Council on Sustainability & Innovation, and she was also named Woman Entrepreneur of the Year by Portland Business Journal.
Josh Billeter is the Development Director of Bamboo Revolution, a designer/manufacturer of bamboo products and building services provider. His interest in sustainability was formed at young age, growing up on a farm in rural Clackamas. Josh received degree in Economics from the University of Oregon and a Masters in Sustainable Business from Bainbridge Graduate Institute where he studied the environmental and social impacts of the mining industry in North America. When not talking about green building, he and his wife, enjoy the outdoors, playing music, photography, taking in the local culture and other general shenanigans. Josh is a founding board member of VOIS and currently serves as Secretary.
Tom Osdoba is a social entrepreneur and strategic advisor to communities and organizations. He is the Managing Director of the Center for Sustainable Business Practices at the University of Oregon College of Business, and a consultant to numerous organizations that are advancing sustainability in North America. Tom has held senior leadership roles in two of North America’s leading cities on sustainability. As Sustainable Economic Development Manager for Portland, he created a framework for a sustainable regional economy, launched a collaborative, multi-sector sustainability institute, and created innovative clean energy investment strategies. In addition to being a founding board member of VOIS, Tom also serves on the boards of Portland Sustainability Institute, the Board of Change and The Natural Step Network.
Sarah Costello is development director for Cascadia Green Building Council and its partner organizations, the International Living Building Institute and The Natural Step Network USA. In addition to directing Cascadia’s extensive grants, membership and sponsorship programs, Sarah helps design and implement its strategic communications and marketing efforts. As a fundraising consultant specializing in grants, Sarah has worked with a wide variety of non-profits including environmental organizations, colleges and universities, museums, and relief agencies. When time allows (or when the sun shines) you can find Sarah enjoying Portland’s parks with her husband and young son.
Kimberlee Stafford is an attorney at Tonkon Torp LLP. Her practice involves a wide range of commercial real estate matters including purchases and sales, leasing and financing. As a member of the firm’s Real Estate and Land Use Practice Group and Energy Practice Group, she works with renewable energy developers on various real estate matters related to project siting. Kimberlee holds a B.S. in Biochemistry from Lewis and Clark College and a J.D. from Lewis and Clark Law School. As former chair of Oregon Lawyers for a Sustainable Future’s Office Practices Committee, Kimberlee has been a frequent speaker at law firms and other forums on implementing sustainable office practices. In her free time, Kimberlee loves to telemark ski and ride her bike.
Karen Wolfgang was born and raised in Portland; she grew up helping out with her parents’ small business, and is thankful for the support that her entrepreneurial family continues to provide. Karen attended Princeton University, where she earned her BA in Anthropology and Environmental Studies; she received her MA in Educational Leadership with a specialization in Leadership in Ecology, Culture, and Learning from Portland State University. As a business owner and a citizen, she is passionate about designing and implementing strategies that contribute to a sustainable future in Oregon and beyond. Karen spends her free time reading, riding TriMet, being with family, and attending to a variety of inspiring volunteer commitments. She is owner of Independence Gardens LLC.
Mickey Lee is the Strategic Director of Carbon Concierge. With a background in media and marketing with an emphasis on environmental and social equity, Mickey provides an avenue for change by engaging business leaders in measurement and reduction strategies for their carbon emissions and corporate social responsibility. She is affiliated with the Environmental Professionals of Color and Center for Diversity and the Environment with a focus on social equity in sustainable business practices. She has a background related to carbon market research and the evaluation of offset providers in the Voluntary Carbon Market. Mickey completed a Leader Fellowship project, through the National Audubon Society and Toyota to foster greater development of sustainable careers in underserved communities in 2010 and she holds an MBA in Sustainable Development from Bainbridge Graduate Institute as well as a BA in Humanities and Sociology from Washington State University. Mickey is also an avid kayaker and snowshoer.
Laura Weis is currently the founder of GO Box, a new service providing reusable to-go containers for the downtown food carts and their customers. Laura has followed her passion for environmental sustainability for her 25 years of professional experience. She has a Masters in Public Health from U.C. Berkeley and experience working on environmental policy for government agencies and advocacy organizations in Oregon, Washington State and Washington D.C., including 9 years as a Program Director with Oregon Environmental Council. She also has a MBA in Sustainable Business from the Bainbridge Graduate Institute. She recently made a brief foray into corporate employment, working for a large food service company as their West Coast Sustainability Manager. In her free time, she enjoys international travel (especially bicycle travel), cross-country skiing (with her 2 Mexican-adopted dogs) and yoga.
Brian Setzler, MBA, CPA is the President and Founder of TriLibrium CPAs and TriLibrium Wealth Management. TriLibrium is a certified B Corporation serving the small business community. Brian is active with a number of community organizations and is passionate about sustainability. Brian lives downtown and has a daughter who is a freshman at Oregon State University.
